If You Wanna Be a Writer...You Gotta Write...Right?
The question is, "How do I become a writer?" The answer is...You write and nothing could be righter. Because, if you want to be a writer, you have to write. Right? It makes no difference what you write or whether it’s day or night. The subject matter doesn’t count and neither does the time of day The important thing is, people get to know what you have to say.
Some who read your stuff may scorn or even scoff But don’t you let that make you put your writing off. Write about the Sun, the Moon, or the feel of the evening breeze Tell about the mountains, or even the birds and the bees. Write early in the morning or late at night No matter when you do it, do it with all your might. Write reams and reams, about oceans, rivers or streams Tell about a fish that got away or the girl of your dreams. The good, the bad, happy or sad, let everything stir you But don’t ever let anything, anything, deter you.
Write about the three wise men told about in the Bible Or write about those three wise guys who got sued for libel. So, to sum it up, to be quite frank Write about anything that "turns your crank" If you’re looking for a writing tip, look at end of your pen Then start writing, even if you only write now and then. No matter what the odds are, write with all your might Because, if you wanna be a writer, you gotta write..right?
