Acts of the Apostles
During the so-called "Apostolic Generation", the Gospel of Christ expanded in all directions until it reached every nation of the then-known world.
The book of Acts, however, focuses on the story of the expansion of the Gospel over Palestine, northward to Antioch, and then westward through Asia Minor and Greece, to Rome, covering the region that constituted the Roman Empire at that time.
The book, Acts of the Apostles, actually centers mainly around the Acts of Peter and Paul, and mostly Paul. Paul, we know, was the Apostle to the Gentiles (non-Jewish nationalities). As such, one of the leading subjects of this book, if not the leading subject in its relation to the rest of the New Testament books, is the extension of the Gospel to the Gentiles.
